Rēzekne district stands out for its network of small rivers and the largest total area of ​​lakes in Latvia. The first largest lake in Latvia in terms of area is located here - Lake Lubānas, which includes unique natural resources, diversity of plants and animals. On the other hand, in terms of water capacity, Rāzna lake is the largest, around which many tourist companies have been established. Not far from Rāzna lake is the third highest peak of Latvia - Lielais Liepa kalns - 289 m above sea level. There are many cultural and historical resources in the district: 163 cultural monuments of national significance, the most outstanding of which is the construction of the Luznava manor. Rēzekne district is rich in craftsman's workshops (the most are potters' workshops), where you can observe the progress of ancient trades.
