The Potemkin Stairs, also known as the Primorsky Stairs, is a historic staircase in the city of Odessa, Ukraine. The staircase was built in the 19th century and consists of 192 steps leading from the city's seaport up to the historic centre. The stairs are named after the battleship Potemkin, which was involved in a mutiny in 1905 that was famously depicted in the film “Battleship Potemkin” by Sergei Eisenstein. The Potemkin Stairs is a popular tourist attraction and offers stunning views of the Black Sea and the city of Odessa.
