Hantam National Botanical Garden

The Hantam National Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located in the Hantam Mountains near the town of Nieuwoudtville, in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. It was established in 2007 to conserve and showcase the unique flora of the area. The garden covers an area of approximately 6,000 hectares and is home to over 1,350 plant species, many of which are endemic to the region. The Hantam National Botanical Garden is particularly known for its spring wildflower displays, which attract visitors from around the world. The garden features several walking trails that provide visitors with the opportunity to explore the diverse flora of the area, as well as picnic areas and a visitor center. The visitor center provides information on the plants and animals found in the garden, as well as the conservation efforts being undertaken to protect them.
