The Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden is a truly unique garden. It cultivates and displays a wide variety of arid and semi-arid plants. The 154 hectare Garden lies at the foot of the Hex River Mountain range, 120 km north of Cape Town.
The Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden features several walking trails that provide visitors with the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the area, including several scenic viewpoints. The garden is home to over 3,000 plant species, including many that are endemic to the region.
