The National Zoological Garden of South Africa, commonly known as the Pretoria Zoo, is a zoological park located in Pretoria, South Africa. It was founded in 1899 and is one of the largest zoos in the country, covering an area of 85 hectares.
The zoo is home to over 4,000 animals from over 300 different species, including many rare and endangered species such as the white rhinoceros, the African wild dog, and the cheetah. Some of the other animals that can be seen at the zoo include lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants, and hippos.
In addition to its animal exhibits, the Pretoria Zoo also offers a range of other attractions and activities for visitors. These include a cable car ride that offers panoramic views of the zoo and the city of Pretoria, a reptile park, an aquarium, and a bird sanctuary.
