San Jorge Eco-Lodge & Botanical Reserve

San Jorge Eco-Lodge & Botanical Reserve is an 18th Century Spanish Hacienda located inside the Pichincha Protected Forest in the foothills of Rucca Pichincha Volcano. We are also known as The Magic Birding & Photography Circuit. The Eco-Lodge offers comfortable Andes hacienda rooms decorated in typical décor with private bath/hot shower, a game room, lounge, restaurant and bar with Wi-Fi. (optional upgraded rooms with private balcony & view are located on the upper terraced level). We are the only private nature reserve near the city of Quito, situated on 230 acres of trails with nature and complete beauty, yet 25 minutes away from downtown Quito. Explore the Andes and enjoy our birdwatching (90 species Highland birds) & hiking trails, hummingbird feeders, medicinal plants, delicious cuisine and views of 11 mountains and volcanoes in the distance overlooking Quito. We own 7 private nature reserves throughout Ecuador and 6 Eco-Lodges which may be visited on our pre-scheduled birdwatching, bird photography or eco-tours, visiting up to 10 diverse eco-systems the Andes Highlands, Cloud Forests, East & West Andes Slopes and Tropical Amazonian Rainforest.
